I am Melissa Filanowicz and I've been teaching for more than 20 years. I've taught grades 4-12 in many different settings: public schools, private schools, online (on purpose, not just because of Covid), and as an individual tutor. I really love teaching. It's so fun helping students understand new concepts and grow in confidence. I have a passion for teaching students who have learning differences because I believe that if you want to do extraordinary things then you need an extraordinary mind! I live in Weddington with my husband and our three children ages 11-14. We also have a dog named Tuesday and a cat named Sardine. When I'm not reading and learning new things I love all kinds of crafting, traveling to the beach or Disney World, and working in my flower gardens.
